What is moon water?
Moon water is water that has been placed beneath moonlight with a clear intention.
Many people use moon water as a symbolic ritual tool for cleansing, reflection, intuition, renewal, or intention-setting. It can be kept on an altar, used to anoint ritual tools, added to a bath, or used around a sacred space.
What you need
a clean jar, glass, or bottle
fresh water
a clear intention
optional crystals placed beside the container, not in the water unless water-safe
optional LunaWye ritual tools nearby, such as a Wye Moonlet, Rune Relic, or candle
Step by step:
How to make moon water
1. Cleanse your jar
Wash and rinse your jar or bottle so it feels fresh and ready to use.
2. Fill with water
Fill it with fresh water.
3. Set your intention
Hold the jar in both hands and take a quiet moment to focus on your intention.
You may wish to focus on:
clarity
calm
protection
release
intuition
renewal
4. Place beneath the moonlight
Leave the jar outside, on a windowsill, or somewhere it can rest overnight beneath the moonlight.
Direct moonlight is beautiful, but not essential. Intention matters most.
5. Collect in the morning
Bring your moon water inside the following morning.
6. Store with care
Keep it in a sealed container and use it mindfully. Many people use moon water symbolically rather than for drinking.
