Altar Guardians

Altar Guardians are placed at the heart of a space — quiet figures that hold presence, reflection, and intention.

Unlike threshold protectors that watch over boundaries, altar guardians sit within the sacred centre. They represent awareness, guidance, and the deeper qualities we wish to cultivate within ourselves.

Each LunaWye guardian acts as a symbolic companion for meditation, reflection, and personal ritual.

🌙 The LunaWye Core Five

A Foundational Rune Set

Some symbols carry the weight of entire traditions.

Runes have long been used as markers of guidance, protection, and awareness — simple shapes that hold layers of meaning shaped by time and human experience.

The LunaWye Core Five is a curated set of runes chosen to represent the foundational energies of the LunaWye altar system.

Rather than offering a full divination set, these five runes form a focused ritual foundation — a small symbolic framework for intention, reflection, and personal alignment.

Each rune represents a principle that supports movement through life with clarity and steadiness.

Protection.
Flow.
Growth.
Integrity.
Awakening.

Together they form a quiet structure beneath the altar — a reminder that transformation begins with strong foundations.

Dare to Believe Dragonfly

Initiation Guardian

Before transformation becomes visible, there is always a quiet beginning.

A moment where something shifts inside — a small but powerful decision to believe that change is possible.

The dragonfly has long symbolised transformation and movement between worlds. Born in water before rising into the air, it carries the memory of depth while learning to move through light.

The Dare to Believe Dragonfly marks that first moment of courage.

It is an initiation guardian — a symbol of the threshold where hope begins to take form and the future starts to open.

Placed on a garden wall, altar, or sacred space, it represents the beginning of a new chapter and the bravery required to step toward it.

Placement

• Garden walls
• Entryways or outdoor spaces
• LunaWye altar areas
• Places where new projects or paths begin

It works best where new beginnings are unfolding.

Ritual Purpose

• Mark the beginning of a new chapter
• Honour the moment of choosing belief
• Invite transformation into a space
• Support courage during uncertain change

This guardian stands for the moment when hope becomes action.

🦉 Watcher of the Veil

Guardian of Inner Sight

There are moments when the world grows quiet enough for deeper understanding to emerge.

In those spaces between thought and stillness, the veil between what is seen and unseen becomes thinner.

The owl has long been regarded as a keeper of this threshold — a creature able to perceive what lies hidden and to move calmly through darkness without fear.

The Watcher of the Veil was created as an altar guardian for those moments of reflection and insight.

It does not guard a doorway or boundary.
Instead, it watches inward.

Placed upon an altar or sacred space, it represents awareness, intuition, and the wisdom that comes from listening carefully to the quieter voice within.

Ritual Use

Sit quietly with the guardian and take a slow breath.

Allow the mind to settle and listen for the thoughts that arise beneath the surface of the day.

The Watcher of the Veil serves as a reminder that insight often arrives not through force, but through stillness and attentive presence.
